More Air Cargo Terms





The history of Thailand's air cargo services began at the same time as passenger services in 1922 when the country's first schedule domestic flights were inaugurated - the first such service in Asia.


THAI Cargo recently received an upgrade in services standards certification from ISO 9002:1994 to ISO 9001:2000. Attainment of this recent ISO certification ensures that THAI Cargo will strictly monitor all quality by using Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and customer satisfaction analysis.The airline's cargo operation objectives are as follows:

  • To develop operating procedures to meet international quality standards,including attainment of the ISO 9001:2000 certification.
  • To enhance human resource effciency.
  • To ensure effective internal and external communications.
  • To ensure that the needs of THAI's operating procedures are fulfilled by the airline's resources.
  • To ensure that all staff adhere to the established international standards,maintaining support of THAI's Management.
  • To adhere to the international rules and regulations of the air cargo business.
THAI Cargo's ISO 9001:2000 Certifications covers all cargo opertion activities,which include:inbound and outbound cargo operations,cargo transit warehouse and Cargo Express Center facilities located at domestic stations at Bangkok International Airport as well as Chiang Mai,Hat Yai and Phuket International Airports.
