More Air Cargo Terms

The history of Thailand's air cargo services began at the same time as passenger services in 1922 when the country's first schedule domestic flights were inaugurated - the first such service in Asia.

THAI has been developing and adjusting routes with the aim of efficient competition. During fiscal year 2004, THAI offered flights to 76 destinations in 33 countries on 4 continents including Bangkok and domestic destinations. With this strong network covering most parts of the world and through codeshare with our Star Alliance partners, our routenet covers 772 destinations in 133 countries on five continents.

On the European routes, THAI Cargo offers our own trucking service for speedy onward delivery by road from our inbound cargo centers in Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Paris and London. With this useful service, THAI Cargo is able to assist customers in achieving faster delivery of goods to their final destinations throughout Europe.

On domestic routes, THAI is serving 13 airports and providing sufficient capacity to serve local demands. During the festive seasons, extra flights will be introduced to meet peak demands, particularly to Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Phuket domestically and to Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore regionally.
