TG’s Notice of Amendment of the Air Waybill Conditions of Contract (IATA Resolution 600b) & Use of Existing Air Waybill Stocks

THAI Cargo Announcement on the New IATA Resolution 600b

1. With effect from 01 July 2010, the Montreal Convention of 1999 (MC99)

liability limit 19 SDRs per kilogram for air cargo is harmonized across all

routes worldwide.

 

2. Attached herewith the amendment to the IATA Cargo Service Conference

Resolution 600b (Air Waybill – Conditions of Contract) “New 600b” adopted

at the 32nd meeting of the CSC held in Vancouver, Canada on 10 March

2010 is effective on 1 July 2010 for your reference.

 

3. Arising from the above declaration, Air Waybills based on the new 600b

should be issued once existing stocks of air waybills based on old 600b have

been depleted. Please do not increase stocks of old 600b air waybills in the

meantime.

 

4. Please share this information to all staff concerns and air waybill printing

software service providers, so that they are aware of the amendment of the

IATA Air Waybill Conditions of Contract effective on 1 July 2010 any may take

appropriate action.
