THAI Cargo - Cold Storage
THAI Cargo renovates an area in the Perishable Center at THAI Cargo Terminal in the Customs Free Zone, Suvarnabhumi Airport for its new service, “Cold Storage Handling” to serve the needs for exporting the temperature sensitive perishable goods with complete cool chain management. The soft launch of this Cold Storage Handling service was done on August 27, 2009 which around 70 customers from freight forwarders and perishable exporter companies were invited to a presentation and investigate the service site at THAI Cargo’s terminal. THAI Cargo is confident that the Cold Storage Handling service will serve the needs to keep the perishable goods cool and fresh stably all the way from the origin to the destination with the complete process from pre-cooling the container and shipment, ULD (unit load device) thermal lining and the temperature monitoring and report from the receiving dock and prior to the flight departure. Not only that, THAI Cargo allows the customer to use the plastic crate and the thermal protection sheet for the shipment transferring from the packing house to THAI Cargo terminal to ensure the completion of the cool chain. The service ensures the quality and freshness of the product, increases the shelf life, create the consumer’s confidence in fresh produces from Thailand which surely allows us to introduce new products to the market easier. In addition, THAI Cargo’s Cold Storage Handling service will help reduce packaging waste by using the shelf ready packaging and recyclable cover.
