st January 2023, Thai Airways resumed its flight operations from Kolkata after 3 years.
Thailand’s national carrier Thai Airways discontinued their flights in the year 2020 after 50 years of continuous operations from Kolkata due to Covid pandemic.
To celebrate its return to the city of joy, Totsol Aviation hosted a Thai Cargo Partners Meet at Kolkata on 07
th April 2023 followed by cocktail & dinner in JW Marriott.
The event was graced by Her Excellency MISS ACHARAPAN YAVAPRAPAS, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate and Dr. Saumitra Mohan, IAS, Honorable Secretary, Department of Transport, Govt of West Bengal.
MR Piyapan Atipatya, Deputy Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate and other dignitaries from Royal Thai Consulate, Mr Debjit Dutta, Chairman IATO, West Bengal Chapter, Indian Customs, Airport Authority of India, Air India Security Services & Air India Airport Services Limited.
Mr. Abhay Maheshwari, Head of Cargo, Thai Airways India was present in the event and represented Thai Cargo on behalf of Thai Cargo management.
There was a special audio video message from Mr. Chirachet Chanawiset, Managing Director, Thai cargo played during the event.
The most important part of the event was the Air Cargo Agents from the fraternity.
It was a gathering of 120 people.
The event started with National Anthem and followed by speech from Mr. Sandeep Datta, Managing Director, Total Solutions Group.
Dr. Saumitra Mohan, IAS, Honorable Secretary, Department of Transport, Govt of West Bengal also gave a speech and welcome all the trade partners.
Mr. Abhay Maheswari, Head of Cargo, Thai Airways India also delivered a speech on this occasion.
All the dignitaries were felicitated with flower bouquet.
As per the feedback from the fraternity, it was the best event witnessed/ enjoyed by all the invitees in last one decade in Kolkata.
